The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is focusing on South India in the run-up to the 2024 general election. The party believes that the region holds the key to its success in the upcoming polls.
In the 2019 general election, the BJP won 25 of the 130 seats in South India. However, the party is aiming to increase its tally in the 2024 election by focusing on states like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Kerala.
The BJP is deploying its top leaders to campaign in South India. Prime Minister Modi has already held several rallies in the region, and other senior party leaders are also expected to campaign there in the coming months.
